Participating in Make Music Day 2026 is an exciting opportunity for performing arts ensembles, and it’s made even more accessible thanks to the collaboration between the NFHS and MakeMusic, Inc. To ensure your ensemble is part of this global celebration of music, simply follow a few easy steps.
Step 1 – Register
First, complete the registration form below, which gives you access to either a band, orchestra or choir piece for FREE! Fill in the necessary details about your ensemble, and you will receive access to the music and specific information about Make Music Day 2026 in your area. Digital parts are now available in MakeMusic Cloud, and PDFs will be sent to all who register.
We’ll follow up with more detailed instructions via email once you’ve registered, so please ensure that the email address you include is one you check regularly. Step 2 – Decide how you want to participate
Live Performance: Plan a live performance of in your community on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Be a part of something huge by sharing this performance date with other musicians around the world!
Performance Video: Upload a video of your performance before June 1, 2026. These videos can be uploaded through your organization’s (or school’s) YouTube channel using the official “tag bundle” – specific information will be sent to you via email once you register. We will curate this collection of performances and release it on June 21, 2026.
By uploading your video, your school will be entered to be one of 10 schools who will win $250 worth of new music from Alfred Music.
